PE

Our Vision for Physical Education at St. Teresa's

PE at St Teresa's Aims to:

1) Develop pupils' competence and confidence in a broad range of physical activities and provide opportunities to apply the skill sets taught.

2) Promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles, enabling children to develop their own physical literacy.

3) Enable pupils to understand the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship through personal development and leadership.

4) Provide opportunities for all pupils to compete within our community.

5) Foster positive attitudes towards participation in PE and understand its effects on mental health.

Sports Ambassadors at St Teresa's

We have some super sports ambassadors at St Teresa's who lead PE opportunities within the school; they inspire the children to try a wide range of sports and are always ready to share their expertise.

Celebrating Sport at St Teresa's

At St Teresa's we are proud of the opportunities we offer our children to compete against other schools in the area. As such, we are an active part of the CPSL (Colchester Primary School League) where we compete in the Football and Netball league as well summer sports such as Cricket and Athletics. In addition to this, we subscribe to the Colchester and Blackwater School Sports Partnership which offers a wide variety of sporting opportunities throughout the year. Our involvement with the partnership and commitment to school sports earned us the Gold award in the 2023-2024 academic year which we are extremely proud of!
