Menus

All children in Key Stage 1 are able to receive a Free School Meal under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.

The school also receives additional funding called Pupil Premium for children of families that qualify for a free school meal not under the universal scheme, who are in both KS1 and KS2.

The government uses the free school meals entitlement tests to assign the additional funding.

  • KS1 parents do not have to apply in order for their child to receive a free school meal.
  • If KS1 parents do not apply, then additional funding is not awarded to the school.
  • We encourage all parents of children who are eligible to apply, regardless of whether they want a free school meal for their child or not.

More information is available in this flyer and the FAQ provided to our school to support the change.
